Beautiful multi-generational portraits!
When you become a mother, all you think of is your baby just like your own mom did with you. As soon as the baby arrives, everyone will start taking pictures of the baby. That first smile, the first tooth, first steps, well, all the firsts and then a lot more.
With the technology available at hand these days, it’s very easy to forget how important professional portraits are. I’m sure you want that one picture that tugs you at your heartstrings. One portrait that you want to proudly display in your home and possibly pass it on to generations down the road.
I always encourage people to have professional portraits done by a photographer who can guide you in every aspect from planning to styling to installing the art in your home. It takes all the stress off your shoulders and your husband won’t be complaining about installing the wall art. It’s a win-win situation.
Apart from having your own family pictures done, I also recommend adding the grandparents. I love doing generational portrait sessions. No kidding, it makes me all emotional seeing all the love shared.
We all know that most men don’t want to be photographed. So I recommend getting all the girls in first for the session, pose and snuggle and at the end of the session we can bring in the men (dad/grandpa) for the last 10-15 minutes. I’m sure they will appreciate not being held up at the studio when they’d rather be chilling at home watching TV.
Scroll through the portraits of the generational session I did with two adorable kids and fabulous mom and dynamic grandma (no exaggeration here).
